Independent Senior Advisor in risk,
governance and performance.
I am an Independent Senior Advisor with more than 25 years of international experience helping organisations understand and manage the risks that can affect their business performance.
Before becoming independent, I was a Director at KPMG, advising Boards, Audit Committees, Executive Committees and senior management on Governance, Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, processes, controls and business transformation.
Throughout my career, I have advised 100+ organisations and delivered 100+ engagements across energy, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, retail, media and other sectors.
My experience has taught me that risk does not sit within a single function or department. It is embedded in strategic decisions, governance, processes, controls, operations and financial performance. When risks are not properly understood or managed, they can translate into inefficient processes, weak controls, operational disruption, trapped working capital and lost business value.

I have always believed that the best perspectives come from looking beyond your own environment.
Outside my professional life, I am a sailing enthusiast and sailing instructor, and being on the water has taught me many of the qualities I also value in business: preparation, adaptability, teamwork and the ability to make decisions when conditions change.
I am also Co-founder of Women Rising for Africa, an organisation committed to creating opportunities for women through skills development, mobility and economic empowerment.
And when I’m not working or sailing, you may find me playing the saxophone, travelling, discovering new places, or simply looking for the next experience that takes me outside my comfort zone.
